The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library is offering a brunch buffet this November on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For the month of November, Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library will offer a free community “continental brunch” every Saturday. Brunch items will be available for drop-in meals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It was a day of tricks and treats Oct. 25 as costumed children and adults descended on Boothbay Railway Village Museum (BRV) for its annual SPOOKtacular. Marketing Director Lori Reynolds reported 750 people attended, 250 more than last year’s event.

On Oct. 21, Peter Arnold represented Repower Wiscasset and addressed its hopes regarding a project that would provide geothermal energy, potentially at the town-owned land on Old Ferry Road opposite the former Maine Yankee nuclear power plant. 

Sen. Reny celebrated for perfect voting record on reproductive rights

Sen. Cameron Reny, D-Bristol, earned a perfect score from Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund for votes to protect reproductive rights and improve access to fundamental health care. Sen. Reny is one of 20 senators to earn a perfect score for their 2025 voting record.

Since April 2024, River Road residents have complained about loud noise and fast traffic they attributed to the nearby Glidden Point Oyster Farms. Resident David Tonry lives 600 feet from the farm and along with several other neighbors has issued several complaints to the code enforcement officer and selectmen about the farm's operation.
