On Sunday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, a day-long event will begin with the sixth Tomato Festival at 10 a.m. – purchase locally grown heirlooim tomatoes – 15 varieties; participate in the salsa making recipe contest at 1 p.m., eat lunch at the festival food tent with hots dogs, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, popcorn, sodas; Enjoy Blanchard’s ice cream truck from 2 to 5 p.m.

At 1 p.m., radio controlled sailboats will launch from the dock and the traditional Club Car Show will be from 3 to 5 p.m.
