We are very pleased to announce that Hannah Hilton has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Newcastle Realty, Cheney Insurance, and Newcastle Vacation Rentals. Together, these companies comprise Cheney Financial Group, a locally owned family enterprise with more than 30 associates working from three offices in Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor.
“Over the past six years, Hannah has become an integral part of our leadership team,” said CEO Dennis Hilton, a fourth-generation owner of the enterprise. “She has helped strengthen our operations and is highly respected by the associates she works so hard to support. This well-deserved appointment positions our companies for continued success as the next generation assumes greater leadership responsibility.”
Hannah’s appointment is part of a broader leadership and succession plan for Cheney Financial Group. In addition to Dennis, the ownership group includes Chief Financial Officer Joe Ford, Nathan Hilton, Jessica Hilton, and Hannah’s husband, Christopher Hilton. Together, the ownership and leadership teams are committed to preserving the companies’ local, family-led character while preparing them for the future.
Hannah was already leading the operations of Cheney Insurance and Newcastle Vacation Rentals. In her expanded role, she will now also oversee the operational side of Newcastle Realty. Dennis will continue serving as Newcastle Realty’s Designated Broker, focusing on business and agent development, agent support, and regulatory compliance.

The leadership teams at Cheney Insurance and Newcastle Vacation Rentals remain unchanged, with Hannah continuing to provide the guidance and support that have contributed to each company’s success. Dennis will also continue as Chief Executive Officer of Cheney Financial Group, supporting the leadership team and the continued growth of all three companies.
