Join Veggies to Table at The Contented Sole in New Harbor on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. for a Harvest Dinner & Fundraiser celebrating exceptional food and wine, community, and the abundance of the farm’s harvest, all in support of Veggies to Table’s work growing and donating organic produce and flowers to neighbors experiencing hunger and needing joy.

Set along the harbor, guests will enjoy a harvest-inspired menu including lobster pot pie, bread, fennel and apple salad with roasted hazelnuts, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, roasted baby root vegetables, and a beautiful spread of cheeses and homemade desserts. The evening will also feature paired wines, sparkling wine, craft beers from Allagash Brewing, and Coffee By Design coffee.

A festive raffle will feature a collection of offerings generously donated by local businesses, artists, and friends of Veggies to Table. Prizes include a two-night midweek stay at Laura Cabot's beautiful Waldoboro apartment with spa and sauna access; Tickets to the Waldo Theatre; custom portraits from Tiffany White Photography; a $100 gift card to Bred in the Bone; original artwork from Abacus Gallery and local artists; gift cards from Fiction Bookstore, Bird Gallery, the Peaceful Pagan, Village Handcraft, Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shops and Log Cabin Shoes; treats from Coastal Maine Popcorn; Coffee By Design and Barter’s Island Bees Gift Baskets; Veggies to Table dahlia tubers; and more.

“Harvest time seems like such a natural moment to gather around the table and celebrate the generosity of this community,” said Erica Berman, executive director of Veggies to Table. “We are incredibly grateful to Beth and Warren, the owners of The Contented Sole, for their extraordinary generosity in making this evening possible—we truly could not do it without them.

“This dinner is also an important fundraiser for our farm. Proceeds will go directly toward the next chapter of Veggies to Table: the infrastructure we need to grow and donate even more food, including a tool shed, an equipment storage shed, and a produce wash & pack station."

The Contented Sole is located at 32 Southside Road, New Harbor, Maine.

Tickets are required and space is limited. Reservations are $175 per person, or $150 per person when reserving for two. Tickets include dinner, wine and beer, and the evening’s festivities (raffle tickets not included).
