Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 4 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 354 calls for service for the period of Aug. 4 to Aug. 11. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 8,180 calls for service.
Summons
Theodore Cocco, 61, of Waldoboro was issued a summons Aug. 8 for Operating under the Influence Drugs or Combo, on Bremen Road, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Arrests
Penny L. Jones, 58, of Washington was arrested Aug. 6 for Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drug; Violating Condition of Release and on a Waldo County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Unlawful Possession of Cocaine charge, on Winslow Mills Road, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Robert J. Burgess, 38, of Waldoboro was arrested Aug. 6 for Unlawful Sexual Contact and Sexual Abuse of a Minor, in Waldoboro, by Waldoboro Police Sgt. Jeremy Joslyn, on a Lincoln County SO arrest warrant, after an investigation by Detective Justin Drake.
Vanessa R. Parlin, 38, of Bremen was arrested Aug. 10 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Waldoboro Road, Bremen, by Sgt. Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.
Billy Wayne Curtis, 37, of Bremen was arrested Aug. 10 for Domestic Violence Assault and Violating Condition of Release, on Waldoboro Road, Bremen, by Sgt. Kevin Dennsion, who was assisted by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Aug. 4, an accident occurred on Head Tide Road in Whitefield involving Keegan A. Bond, 19, of Whitefield. Mr. Bond was operating his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway to the left and into a ditch. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 7, an accident occurred on Beath Road in Boothbay involving Harry Rangel, 55, of Boothbay. Mr. Rangel was operating his 2023 Chevrolet Colorado northbound when he encountered another vehicle coming toward him in the other lane. The oncoming vehicle was in its proper lane. Rangel stated that he swerved slightly but due to steering issues in the truck, which pulls to the right, he went off the pavement to the right and struck a utility pole at a glancing angle. As a result, the vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger corner, as well as the side of the truck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
