Eighth grade registration information night Feb. 9
Lincoln Academy (LA) invites prospective students and their families to an Eighth Grade Information Night on Monday, Feb. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (snow date Feb. 12) in the Alumni Dining Commons. The event is designed to guide incoming families through the registration and course selection process for the upcoming school year. Director of Curriculum and Counseling, Kelley Duffy, and LA School Counselors will present in-depth information about course scheduling and four-year planning. The event is open to all interested families, including those who have not yet formally enrolled.
Following the main presentation in the Dining Commons, faculty and staff will be available in breakout classrooms to discuss graduation requirements, special education services, honors courses, athletics, and extracurricular life. Families are encouraged to visit the different rooms to learn more about the various programs and services offered. For families new to the campus, guided tours will depart at 7 and 7:20 p.m.
“This night is full of academic information, and will assure students and parents that there’s a place for every student at Lincoln Academy,” says Hilary Petersen, associate director of local enrollment. “Course night is designed to support students as they begin building unique pathways to fulfilling lives after graduation.”
No registration is necessary. Interested families should plan to park in the lot across from the LA gym and arrive at the Dining Commons a few minutes before 6:30 pm to sign in.
