Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens announces Community Listening event for future glasshouse/conservatory project
As part of the lead-up to its 20th anniversary in 2027, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is pleased to announce a Community Listening Event to engage neighbors, members, and friends in the early stages of planning for an exciting new chapter: the construction of a Glasshouse/Conservatory.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bosarge Family Education Center, located at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. All members of the community are warmly invited to attend and share their perspectives.
From 5:30 to 6, guests will enjoy light refreshments, informal conversations, and a chance to review preliminary renderings of the proposed project. At 6, a formal presentation will outline the initial concepts for the Glasshouse/Conservatory, followed by a listening session to gather feedback and answer questions.
“We are excited to celebrate the launch of this project with our community and to thoughtfully plan for our future together,” said Gretchen Ostherr, president and CEO. “Your input is vital as we envision the next chapter of the Gardens.”
Mark Osborn, board chair, added, “This gathering is an important opportunity for us to listen and collaborate as we move forward.”
Attendees are asked to RSVP via this link. Direct any questions to Anna Hunt at ahunt@mainegardens.org. Parking will be available in the Bosarge Family Education Center lot.
