On Thursday, July 2, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Junior Sailing and Tennis will be hosting a night of functional and decorative knot work where participants can learn to tie three strand splices, make sailors bracelets (turks heads), key chains (monkey's fists) and yarn crafts for the youngest.

Included at the event is a barbecue and sundae bar, and limited space for harbor sailing tours. All are welcome and there is no charge.

It will be at the BHYC Sailing and Education Center, 156 Western Avenue, West Boothbay Harbor.
