Boothbay Region Surveyors moving to Edgecomb
Boothbay Region Surveyors is on the move. In 2017, owner Nicholas Plumer purchased the Boothbay business from Leighton & Associates. He has rented the building for nine years. The building has been sold, which requires Plumer to seek a new location. Plumer has found it at 290 U.S. Route One in Edgecomb.
June 18, the planning board voted, 5-0, to approve his change of use request. The building's use was changed to a professional office space. "The property is under contract, and I'm looking for a new location and need a change of use," he said.
Plumer wants to make the former Midcoast Conservancy building his new business location. Plumer told the planning board he has no plans to change the building's footprint and will make minor changes to the doors and windows.
The board meets next at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2 in the conference room.
