"Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale" . . . “Gilligan’s Island: The Musical” takes the Carousel Music Theater stage beginning Friday, June 26 through Wednesday July 1 in Boothbay Harbor. This production is directed and choreographed by Carousel Alum and Artistic Director Kelli Leigh-Ann Connors with music direction by the amazing Ashley Ryan.

“Gilligan’s Island: The Musical” is a family friendly stage musical version of the ever popular and iconic 60s TV comedy show “Gilligan’s Island,” created by Sherwood Schwartz. Shipwrecked on a remote Pacific island, the seven castaways build huts and begin to explore their surroundings. They discover strange hieroglyphics in a spooky cave, which speak of an ancient legend. The weather gets rough, Gilligan foils the best-laid of the castaway’s rescue plans … romance develops … the castaways have an out-of-this-world encounter … it’s fun, wacky and entertaining with 18 original, tuneful and memorable songs created by Schwartz’s daughter Hope and her husband Laurence Juber.

Our cast of iconic characters features actors new to our stage James Paradis as Gilligan and Finnegan Griffith as the Skipper. The remaining cast members are all CMT veterans including Elena Tarpley as Mary Ann, Emily Bartley as Ginger, Meredith Charbonnet as Lovey Howell, Cavonté Green as Thurston HowellI, and Zion Hall as the Professor.

Our resident music director, Ashley Grace Ryan, will be playing live for this event. Ashley alone is worth the price of the ticket!

Performances will be offered on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Monday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. This production is a show only event making it affordable for families. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children.
