The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 319 calls for service for the period of Sept. 1 to Sept. 8. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 9,443 calls for service.

Summonses

Michael L. Miete, 34, of Westport Island was issued summonses Sept. 6 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked and Violating Condition of Release, on Sheepscot Road, Alna, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.

Michael G. Budrow, 74, of Bristol was issued a summons Sept. 7 for Operating after License Suspension, on State Route 32, Bristol, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.

Arrests

Dexter Averill, 46, of Sabattus was arrested Sept. 2 on an Androscoggin County warrant for Revocation of Bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Joseph Booth.

Dustyn E. Merrill, 42, of Waldoboro was arrested Sept. 3 on a Somerset County warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.

Tabatha L. Quirion, 39, of Whitefield was arrested Sept. 5 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Vigue Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

Robert A. Breton, 31, of Whitefield was arrested Sept. 5 on a Kennebec County warrant for Revocation of Bail, on North Hunts Meadow Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson, who was assisted by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.

Amanda M. Hitchcock, 33, of Topsham was arrested Sept. 5 for Operating under the Influence, on US Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Zachary Smith.

Ryan Singh, 32, of Ranshaw, Pennsylvania was arrested Sept. 6 on a Sagadahoc County warrant for Theft, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.

Kamryn R. Vega, 33, of Jefferson was arrested Sept. 7 for Domestic Violence Assault, on East Pond Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.

Andre D. Deshazo, 54, of Westport Island was arrested Sept. 7 on a New Orleans, Louisiana warrant for Fugitive from Justice charge, on Main Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson, who was assisted by Sgt. Matthew Day.

Accidents

On Sept. 1, an accident occurred on Center Street in Nobleboro involving Matthew J. Bruce, 39, of Wiscasset and Maddison J. Santana, 22, of Jefferson. Ms. Santana was stopped at the stop sign, facing eastbound, in her 2022 Hyundai Elantra, at the stop sign at the intersection of Center Street and US Route 1. Mr. Bruce was stopped behind Santana’s vehicle, in his 2017 Ford F-150. Santana stated she began to move forward, then stopped, then started moving forward, when Bruce struck her vehicle from behind. Bruce stated he was behind Santana’s vehicle when she began to go and he stated he looked at Route 1 traffic and did not notice she had stopped and rear ended her vehicle, causing damage to the front of Bruce’s vehicle and the rear end of Santana’s vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 1, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Dakota R. Peaslee, 26, of Jefferson; Henry L. Goggins, 29, of Edgecomb and Jennifer K. Scott, 46, of Dresden. Mr. Goggins was stopped in traffic, heading northbound, attempting to make a left turn onto Station Road in his 2006 Volvo 70, with his turn signal activated. Mr. Peaslee was operating his 2021 Mercedes-Benz M2CA46 behind Goggins’ vehicle and did not observe Goggins was stopped and was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear end. Ms. Scott was operating her 2020 Honda Fit behind Peaslee’s vehicle and she stated that Peaslee stopped too suddenly for her to avoid striking his vehicle and collided with the rear of Peaslee’s vehicle. Peaslee’s vehicle sustained damage to the front and rear and Goggins’ vehicle sustained damage to the rear of his vehicle, while Scott’s vehicle sustained damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 2, an accident occurred on North Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Korigan Greenhalgh, 21, of Farmingdale. Mr. Greenhalgh was operating his 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound when he swerved to avoid a porcupine in the road. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the right and rolled over. Deputy Zachary Smith was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 3, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Amanda Main, 45, of Edgecomb. Ms. Main was operating her 2003 Suzuki XL-7 northbound when she reported to have fallen asleep. As a result, she traveled off the roadway to the right, clipped a utility pole and then struck a mailbox, before spinning around and coming to rest. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 3, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Jordan D. Bean, 36, of Boothbay. Mr. Bean was operating his 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound when he stated he fell asleep and veered off the roadway to the right. As a result, his vehicle struck a utility pole, which snapped in half, before coming to rest in a ditch. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 3, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Teresa Moody, 85, of Jefferson. Ms. Moody was operating her 2020 GMC Terrain southbound when she crossed the fog line, struck the guardrail, over corrected before crossing the double yellow center line, striking the opposite guardrail and reentering the southbound lane. Deputy Nathan Yeaton was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 3, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving Richard J. Nardone, 59, of Wenham, Massachusetts. Mr. Nardone was operating his 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound when he observed a vehicle traveling northbound and was on the center line. Nardone re-positioned to the right, over corrected and continued towards the center line, when he over corrected again before entering the southbound ditch where he struck a telephone pole. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 4, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Tristan M. Rines, 21, of Topsham. Mr. Rines was operating his 2021 Ford Escape southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Zachary Smith was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 4, an accident occurred on Main Street in Whitefield involving James Roden, 94, of Augusta. Mr. Roden was backing his 2010 Toyota Corolla out of a parking space in front of the Cooper’s Mills Post Office when he appeared to have accidentally accelerated too hard and panicked, causing the vehicle to spin around to the right, go off the roadway and into the yard of the house next door, striking a fence before coming to rest. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
