5th Annual Rockport Donut Festival Poster Contest is now OPEN

SUBMISSION DEADLINE November 30, 2026  - NO COST TO SUBMIT ARTWORK

The Rockport Donut Festival Committee is accepting Donut themed artwork submissions for the Rockport Donut Festival June 11-13, 2027. The Donut Festival honors and celebrates the history of the donut here in beautiful Rockport and gets the summer rolling with music, food, and fun for all ages. The artwork chosen will be for this year's official Rockport Donut Festival poster and used for marketing materials for the festival. Artwork and artistic creations that are crafted by the human hand will be chosen over any computer or AI generated art. 

Think themes of Maine, water, sun, ocean, donuts, summer, fun, friends! Good Luck! 

We reserve the right to reject all submissions deemed inappropriate for the promotion of the Festival, as well as the right to extend the entry deadlines, if deemed appropriate.

5th Annual Rockport Donut Festival Poster Contest Timeline: Entry/Submission Deadline: November 30, 2026

Winning Entry will be chosen by December 15 and the winning artist will be notified within ten working days and receive payment via check for artwork.
The Artist chosen will be awarded the following: Cash award: $500 Honorarium, Social media mention and promotion GENERAL

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Submit Poster Competition Entries to kluehman@rockportmaine.gov
1. Artists may submit up to three entries in pdf format by email (address noted above).
2. Submissions must be received by November 30, 2026.
3. Provide your name, address, phone number and email address.
4. Provide detailed description of the artwork to include size and medium.
5. Short story of where and when you created the artwork.
6. The Artist understands that their artwork will be posted on the Rockport Donut Festival website and all associated social media.
7. The winning artist shall submit a picture of themselves and short bio that may be used in promotional marketing and supply high resolution photos of the original artwork for printing purposes.

BY SUBMITTING ARTWORK, YOU AGREE TO AND ACCEPT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.
1. As the Artist, I guarantee that the submitted artwork is my own original design, has not been used to promote any prior or other festivals or events. We request art using traditional mediums and are not likely to choose anything that is computer generated. We will be adding text details to the artwork for the poster, so please just submit an image without any text.
2. The Rockport Donut Festival shall have the right to use the artwork for publicizing, supporting, and marketing the festival in all media, both promotional and commercial, including, but not limited to, posters, flyers, brochures, postcards, decals, labels, buttons, souvenirs, sportswear, merchandise items, and other materials, with no additional compensation.
3. The Rockport Donut Festival shall have the right to sell posters and other marketing materials that display the Art.
4. The Artist retains the original artwork and the right to sell the original artwork.
