Heads of the Harbor is underway with its annual fundraiser in honor of their beloved family member, Jameson Brooks, who lost his battle with cancer in 2022. Over 15,000 children are expected to be diagnosed with cancer from birth through the age of 19 in 2026, according to the American Cancer Society's website. 

They will have their usual raffle items and baskets of goodies. Heads of the Harbor has a lofty goal to increase funds raised this year, which would put donation totals over $10,000! How are they going to do it? Additional ways to give back this year. Bring a gift card in any denomination. They can be generic or specific for groceries, gas, or online shopping. Anything that would help out a family struggling while trying to spend time helping their loved one fight a battle with cancer. Anyone who brings a gift card will receive a gift. All proceeds will be donated to the local Special Olympics and Maine Children's Cancer Foundation. Jameson left a lasting impression with those he came in contact with, and it is the salon's goal to make a lasting impression by raising awareness and funds to help toward a cure.
