Edgecomb Community Church: Restore our doors
Edgecomb Community Church is beginning a new capital campaign to raise funds for repairs to its front doors, and painting and repairs to its steeple. The front doors, which are the original doors from around 1880, are in need of serious repair; they will be removed and rebuilt.
The steeple was repaired on the inside back in 2019, but now the steeple needs a complete new paint job, inside and outside. The outside of the steeple also needs some woodwork replacement.
The Maine Steeple Foundation has awarded Edgecomb Community Church a matching grant of $15,000 which should cover half the amount needed to complete the repairs and painting.
The church is asking members and the public to consider donating to this project to maintain this wonderful historic building in Edgecomb. It is now the only church in Edgecomb, which was completed in 1882. Donations may be sent to Edgecomb Community Church, P.O. Box 113, Edgecomb, ME 04556. Please help preserve this beautiful old building for future generations to use and enjoy.
