This week at the Harbor Theater
"Zootopia 2" - (PG; 1 hour, 47 minutes) - Rule-following bunny Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and streetwise fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), now officially rookie partners in the Zootopia Police Department, meddle in a high-stakes case that prompts Chief Bogo (Idris Elba) to order them to attend partner counseling. Worried that they’ll be separated, Judy becomes fixated on a mysterious clue: snakeskin found at a crime scene, even though snakes haven’t been seen in mammal-dominated Zootopia for decades. Cleverly layering a thoughtful message onto another crackerjack caper while solidifying Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as one of the most endearing buddy pairings in ages, Zootopia 2 more than justifies a return trip to the big city. This delightful sequel deepens the themes explored in the first film while introducing new lovable characters and organic plotlines. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2 p.m. (OCAP) and Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
"Song Sung Blue" - (PG-13; 2 hours, 13 minutes) - Directed by Greg Kohs, the film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as a married couple whose lives take an unexpected turn when they reinvent themselves as a Neil Diamond tribute act. Struggling to reconnect after years of routine and disappointment, the pair finds new purpose—and renewed intimacy—by stepping onto the stage together, performing Diamond’s music for small-town audiences across the Midwest. What begins as a quirky side hustle becomes a heartfelt journey of rediscovery, testing their marriage while reminding them why they fell in love in the first place. Balancing humor, nostalgia, and emotional honesty, "Song Sung Blue" explores themes of second chances, artistic expression, and the power of music to bring people together. Anchored by charismatic performances from Jackman and Hudson, the film has earned strong audience response and critical praise for its feel-good storytelling and authentic emotional core, with recognition at multiple film festivals for its performances and uplifting tone. Playing at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6; Saturday, Feb. 7, Thursday, Feb. 12; see it at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 and Wednesday, Feb. 11 (OCAP).
“You don’t have to be a Neil Diamond fan to like this movie--you don’t even have to respond to the callback in ‘Sweet Caroline.’ I loved it.” – Leonard Maltin, LeonardMaltin.com
"Ocean" - (PG; 1 hour, 25 minutes) - David Attenborough takes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why a healthy ocean keeps the entire planet stable and flourishing. ONE SHOW ONLY! Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m.
“A gorgeously-shot film that celebrates the unique beauty and diversity that comes from dipping our heads beneath the surface of the water -- while also addressing the state of the world’s seas. It’s dire.” – Vicky Jessop, London Evening Standard
