Gary N. Main Jr.
Gary N. Main Jr., 52, of Boothbay passed away on the evening of Jan. 22, 2026.
Gary was born Jan. 31, 1973, in Boothbay to Gary Main Sr. and Rita Buxton. Gary spent most of his childhood between both Woolwich and Boothbay. Gary worked as a construction worker for Crooker’s Construction for over 10 years earlier on in his career then found his home as a mechanic and plumber for Johnson & Jordan Mechanical Contracting for over 20 years for which he was a very dedicated, hard worker.
Gary was well known for being a genuine, straightforward person who was always willing to help a friend or family who were in need. Gary was a very devoted husband and father. He spent every moment caring for his wife and daughter, loving them in his way and providing everything that was needed which they loved him so much for. His personality was infectious, especially at a burn barrel surrounded by good friends and family. He enjoyed music, especially listening to his favorite bands, AC/DC and KISS. In his younger years he was happiest riding his 3-wheelers and dirt bikes. Gary had a knack for tackling any challenge and would solve the challenges often to the amazement of those around him. Gary was the happiest when he was with his close friends and family. All these memories will be cherished.
Gary is survived by his wife, Jeanie Marie Main of Boothbay; daughter, Mikayla Main of Boothbay; mother, Rita Buxton of Randolph; stepfather, Dana Edgerly and his significant other Barbara Stevens of Woolwich; brother, Harold Main and his significant other Danielle Pendleton of Searsmont; sisters, Heidi Cunningham of Springvale, Tracey Mazzei of Virginia, Sonia Main and her significant other Robert Fortier of Harmony; brother-in-laws, Roger Gauthier Jr. and Troy Gauthier of Boothbay; sister-in-law, Tracy Gauthier and her significant other David of Boothbay; “adopted son” Roman Petersen of Edgecomb; nieces, Cynthia Gauthier and Faith Rose; nephew, Zackary Rose; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and all his beloved friends.
He was predeceased by his father Gary Main Sr., Grammy Buxton and Grammy Heilman.
Friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating the Life of Gary Main on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m.at Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
