Rotary Barn open until Dec. 13
Yes, The Rotary Club Barn is still open every Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. till Dec. 13. We’re still selling fabulous furniture, household goods, collectibles, art, snow shovels, tools, just about anything, even beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts. Maybe you will find the perfect Christmas gift, or a table large enough to seat your friends and loved ones, or a comfy chair to sit by the fire, or even the fireplace. You never know what you're going to find at the Rotary Club Barn because everything is donated by our neighbors in this amazing community.
We're optimistic we can stay open till Dec. 13, but of course if we get a snow or ice storm, or lose our power, or it's just not safe to be out driving we won't be open that Saturday. And Remember … the Big, Gray Rotary Barn is not heated, so dress warmly.
We're still doing pick ups of your donations, but our last day will be Monday, Nov. 24. The pick up crews are wonderful, you are lucky if you've met them, but they're also ready for a rest and the chance to enjoy the holidays too. If you have donations for pickup just call 207-619-1417, but remember Nov. 24 is the last day till we resume sometime in March 2026.
We’ve enjoyed sharing our parking lot with several nonprofit organizations selling coffee and baked goodies this season. On Early Bird Saturday, Nov. 22, the Girl Scouts are back, even in the cold, selling hot coffee, pie, cookies and all kinds of yummy stuff.
The money raised at the Rotary Club Barn goes back to our community in the form of scholarships, donations to organizations like the Boothbay Region Food Pantry, Boothbay V.E.T.S. project, the High School Rotary Interact Club, the Boothbay Community Resource Council and so much more.
It also supports the Rotary Bike Project, where we loan almost 100 bikes out to our seasonal workers providing a way for them to get to their jobs. Currently we have four bikes that haven't been returned from this season. Please drop them off or call for a pick up.
The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club welcomes new members. Join us every Thursday at 6 p.m. for dinner and a chance to meet this amazing group of neighbors whose motto is “Service Above Self” but, at the same time “Is It Fun”. You’ll be glad you did.
