Lincoln Home staff and residents gathered to wish Jamie Baribeau well in his retirement and welcome Chef Shana York in her new role as Culinary Director. Jamie brought great leadership and vision to the Culinary Team over the last five years, encouraging creativity in our chefs and bringing his commitment to serving healthy, locally sourced food.

A creative and enthusiastic chef, Shana has been with The Lincoln Home for over 10 years, and has worked with the senior population for over 25 years. She loves working with this age group, and really enjoys the cameraderie of the team at Lincoln Home. She shares, “Our food quality is excellent here and we love preparing fine dining menu choices for our resident family. We have a great crew and work really well together as a team. We all wear a lot of hats, and can step in at any job to help one another out. I love the creative environment in our kitchen, and it is such a beautiful place to work!”

The Culinary Team is commited to the philosophy that healthy, tasty food choices can favorably alter the course of health and disease, enhance the quality of life and even reduce or eliminate the need for some medications. Providing a wide variety of whole, minimally processed foods while maximizing nutritional value, flavor, and presentation makes meal time a highlight for residents. An upscale menu includes local seafood, dairy, eggs and year round produce from community farms ensures the freshest food is brought to our table. Menus reflect care and imagination. Favorite requests, birthday deserts and special diets are always honored.
