Daphne T. Kimball
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daphne T. Kimball, a beloved teacher, sister, and friend, who graced this world with her warmth and elegance for 100 remarkable years.
Born on Aug. 27, 1925, in the bustling city of New York, Daphne was the cherished daughter of Marvin and Elizabeth (Hull) Thomas.
In her younger, married days, she radiated joy-immersing herself in the magic of musicals and plays, her laughter mingling with the melodies around her. Daphne possessed a flair for style, a true embodiment of grace. Whether at the theater or enjoying the thrill of the casino, she moved through life with a contagious zest and love for the experiences it offered.
Daphne dedicated many years to teaching, inspiring countless young minds with her passion for education. Her journey took her from the vibrant streets of Croton-On-Hudson, New York, to the serene shores of Boothbay, where she created lasting memories surrounded by friends and nature.
After the passing of her beloved husband, Leonard W. Kimball, and living with her brother, Malcom H. Thomas, Daphne embraced life with resilience and an unyielding spirit. In her later years, she found solace in the simple pleasures of watching baseball and diving into her next great read. Daphne's laughter, wisdom, and indomitable spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Daphne was predeceased by her parents, her husband Leonard, and her brother Malcom.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the importance of cherishing every moment. As we reflect on her remarkable journey, let us remember Daphne not with sadness, but with gratitude for the beauty she brought into our lives. May her spirit inspire us to embrace each day, to seek joy in the ordinary, and to hold our loved ones close.
