Richard Wayne Blake, lovingly known as Ricky to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025. 

Rickey was born to Sharon Dowd and the late Kenneth Blake. A veteran, Rickey served his country for eight years in the United States Navy. 

He was a man of many hats—a devoted handyman who was always the first to lend a hand, no matter the task or time. He found joy in the outdoors and loved spending his time hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. But above all, Ricky was known for his dedication to his family. He would drop anything to help someone he loved. 

He is survived by his grandmother, Beulah Dube;  mother, Sharon Dowd; four sisters and seven brothers; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Blake, his brother Charlie, and his sister Daphne. 

Ricky’s spirit of generosity, loyalty, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives he touched. 

A graveside service will Be held on Thursday, June 5 at  9 a.m. at Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. All are welcome to attend.  

Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
