Steve Burt of Wells, Maine, has released his three new Sebago Lake teen thrillers, "The Camp for Oddly Gifted Teens," "The Camp for Oddly Gifted Teens Book 2: Return to Camp," and "The Camp for Oddly Gifted Teens Book 3: Florida Springs Break."
The books follow the exploits of ten teens who possess powers like levitation, telekinesis, out-of-body travel, extreme empathy, spoon bending, and communication with ghosts. When their powers are shared, they solve mysteries. The series won 24 international awards including four Mom’s Choice Gold Medals and the Florida Book Festival grand prize.
Burt lived in South Bristol in the 1990s and contributed stories to the Lincoln County News when he was pastor of the Edgecomb Congregational Church before turning to novel-writing. He is also one of Maine’s three Bram Stoker Award winners, the others being Stephen King and King’s son Joe Hill.
Dr. Burt also writes children’s and teen books but is best known for his Maine Allagash Gargouilles adult thrillers: "The Bookseller’s Daughter," "Protect the Queen," and "Challenge the King."
Most of Burt’s books are available at Sherman’s Book Stores and on Amazon.com.
