Jody A. Reed, 47, of Wiscasset passed away on Oct. 18, 2026 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

He was born in Damariscotta on Oct. 23, 1978, a son of Debbie J. Reed Ethier.

Jody attended Wiscasset schools and was employed at the Wiscasset Fire Department. He was employed as a tow truck driver in Boothbay and later employed at Strong Chevrolet in Damariscotta and then at Norm’s Auto in Wiscasset.

He enjoyed going to the races to watch Jimmy Childs #10 and listening to music and going to listen to All That Matters Band.

He was predeceased by his sister, Tammy Saxton on June 25, 2023, and grandparents Arthur and Phyllis Reed of Wiscasset.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie Ethier of Wiscasset; two sons, Hunter Reed of Pennsylvania and Trent Reed of Wiscasset; two daughters, Ashley Reed of South Portland and Lyla Reed of Wiscasset; aunt and uncle Alison and Richard Brewer of Edgecomb; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and “Mom” and “Dad” Garry and Karen Blackman of Boothbay.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset at a later date.
