Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 8 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 264 calls for service for the period of Sept. 22 to Sept. 30. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 10,976 calls for service.
Summonses
Charlotte L. Libby, 40, of Waldoboro was issued summonses Sept. 26 for Failing to Stop for an Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, on Cross Street, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Kyle D. Austin, 25, of Jefferson was issued a summons Sept. 26 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – prior, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Daja M. Rock, 27, of Jefferson was issued a summons Sept. 27 for Driving to Endanger, on Rockland Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Joseph Booth. This was the result of an investigation into an accident which occurred on 08/13/25.
Keith E. Sawyer, 60, of Alna was issued a summons Sept. 28 for Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Arrests
Keith A. Childs, 56, of Whitefield was arrested Sept. 22 on a Lincoln County warrant on charges of Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and Driving to Endanger, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Samuel Alexander, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.
Jason Sylvester, 35, of Richmond was arrested Sept. 22 on a Kennebec County warrant for Violation of Bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Alissa A. Sprague, 43, of Damariscotta was arrested Sept. 23 on a Lincoln County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drug charge, on Duck Puddle Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Edward J. Fox, 37, of Damariscotta was arrested Sept. 23 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer; Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Violating Condition of Release, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.
Daniel D. Chubbuck, 33, of Edgecomb turned himself into Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, Sept. 23 on four Lincoln County warrants for Failure to Appear, where he was arrested by Deputy Jerold Winslow and turned over to jail staff.
Joshua R. Glidden, 40, of Nobleboro was arrested Sept. 25 for Violating Condition of Release, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
Christopher J. Sparks, 33, of Edgecomb was arrested Sept. 26 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Old County Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton, who was assisted by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Charles A. Thompson, 59, of Alna turned himself into Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, Sept. 29 on a Lincoln County warrant for Violation of a Protective Order and Violating Condition of Release. Mr. Thompson was arrested by Deputy Jerold Winslow and turned over to jail staff.
Accidents
On Sept. 26, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Jefferson involving James R. Grenier, 57, of Somerville. Mr. Grenier was operating his 2013 Honda Fit northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, causing damage to the front grill and hood, before the vehicle came to a complete stop. The deer then spun around the vehicle and slammed into the back driver’s side passenger door, causing additional damage. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 26, an accident occurred on McKay Road in Edgecomb involving Isaac L. Kimball, 19, of Swanville. Mr. Kimball was operating his 1998 Dodge RAM 25 westbound when he looked down at his phone. When he looked up, he tried to over correct, going off the roadway on the left, striking large rocks and overturning, before coming to rest on its wheels. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
