BRHS cheerleaders to compete Jan. 31
The Boothbay Region High School cheerleading team will compete in the Class C North-South Regional Championship at Sanford High School on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Twenty-six Class C teams will be competing. Boothbay is scheduled to perform its routine at 2:12 p.m. Coach Michele Ripley said the team will perform its Regional routine during halftime of the boys basketball game on Monday, Feb. 2, which is also Senior Night for boys basketball, cheerleading and pep band.
The “C” competitions for the Maine Principals’ Association event begins at 12:30 p.m. and the awards will be presented beginning at 3:15 p.m. Class A competitions will be held in the morning and Class B will follow the Class C competition. Each team has about five minutes of performance time.
Sanford High School is located at 100 Alumni Boulevard, Sanford.

There is ample spectator parking in the lots at the school. Fans should enter the building through Door #43.

There will be an iPad available at the venue for those that do not purchase them in advance It is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance. There will be no cash sales available at the venue. State Cheering Championships: This year the top eight teams from each region will be eligible to advance to the State Championship taking place on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Augusta Civic Center.
