The Boothbay Region High School football team looks for their first win Friday night at Sherman Field versus Waterville. The Seahawks lost their season opener Sept. 11, 26-0, to Bucksport. 

Boothbay managed 87 total yards of offense against the Golden Bucks defense. The rushing attack ran 26 times for 73 yards. Peyton Barter had 18 carries for 92 yards. Ben Hodgdon had one carry for one yard. But two other ball carriers combined for seven rushes for minus 20 yards. 

Quarterback Miles Murray completed two of seven passes for 10 yards. Matthew Reed completed one pass on one attempt for four yards. Barter had one reception for seven yards, Aron Geddes had one catch for three yards. Thomas Hennessey had one catch for four yards. 

On defense, Chase Licursi led the team with nine tackles. Barter had seven tackles and one interception. Colby Doucette recorded 6.5 tackles. 

Waterville plays in the 8-man football Northern Big School Conference. Waterville is 1-1. The Purple Panthers defeated Mt. View in week one, 32-18. Waterville lost last week to Ellsworth, 50-0.
