Reiki Magic

About this blog:

  • Most alternative solutions are based on knowledge gleaned from ancient, indigenous cultures, reaching back over 3,000 years and had been lost to us in our medical mire of high technology, HMO’s, and insurance driven care. In my opinion it is this medical swamp that has driven Americans into the offices of alternative practitioners throughout the country; spending billions of dollars looking for relief and cures for the enormous increase in cancer, auto-immune diseases, and chronic conditions that have no magic cures or quick fixes from the medical community.

Holistic medicine and alternative modalities have become much more available over the last 25 years witnessed by the boom in yoga classes, energy workers, naturopathic physicians and massage therapists in every community. In general, Holistic Medicine is an attitudinal approach to healing. It looks at each case, be it an accident or disease, as a total experience of the individual – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In most cases in modern medicine the injury or illness is segregated and only the affected area is treated. Holistic means greater than the sum of its parts. In a holistic approach to healing the focus is on the whole person not on the disease or injury.

Professor Woodson Merrill from Columbia Medical School states, “If you don’t help patients to harness their own healing capacities, you are putting them at a significant disadvantage” In the months to come I hope to offer some “Alternative Solutions” that will assist you in harnessing your own healing abilities.

Many years ago our beloved tabby cat, Kitsey, disappeared for three days. We were devastated. On the third day I noticed a black circle in the grass down in the lower yard. Fearing the worst, I ran down and found she was still breathing. We took her to the Animal Hospital where they hydrated her and told us to take her home and keep her comfortable and she would probably pass in a few days. Kitsey was 17 years old and there wasn’t anything to be done.

I put her in the back bedroom and started doing Reiki on her everyday. She would lift her head sadly and then go back to sleep. The second day she drank a bit of water. The third day of Reiki she could stand again. The fourth day she started eating. Day five I opened the door to find her racing around the room like a kitten. Kitsey lived to be 22 years old.

My dear friend, Kathleen, was told she would probably never be able to walk again after a terrible fall shattered her leg. Months of doing Reiki on a regular basis gave Kathleen the strength and confidence to use her leg again.

I’ve been a Reiki Master for almost 25 years, and I can share hundreds of stories about the power of Reiki that I have witnessed. I am still awed by the magic of Reiki. Reiki is a gentle, hand-on healing art that stimulates your body's innate healing ability, encouraging a return to wellness. All dis-ease is rooted in the human energy field, and it is the underlying energetic patterns that must be addressed to create conditions for wellness. Reiki reconnects you with your innate ability to heal yourself and others.  Pets and plants can also benefit from this powerful energy.

Reiki does not require complicated techniques or extensive training. It is easy to learn and use. It is available to anyone who has a desire to practice Reiki.

There is a three-step attunement and certifications process. In Reiki I you learn the origins of Reiki and receive the Reiki attunement to enhance your ability to transmit life force energy through your hands. You will practice giving Reiki and enjoy the benefits of receiving Reiki. You will leave feeling replenished and nourished mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

In Reiki II you will receive additional attunements and learn the Reiki Symbols that will open you to a higher level of intuition and awareness. You will receive a certificate and be fully trained to be a Reiki Practitioner.

The Reiki Mastership process is a 6-month intensive process designed to take your Reiki Practice and your spiritual life to another level. You are then qualified to attune others to Reiki Energy and Process.

Although I have observed tumors disappearing and bones healing faster than expected, Reiki doesn’t always deliver the complete healing results we would like. Everyone’s journey is different and often the ailment is necessary for the person’s spiritual growth. But Reiki always helps to smooth the journey, promotes deep relaxation and never does any harm.
