LCCT presents: "Little Shop of Horrors" – Live on stage! - The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! For more information, see the article running in this section of the paper. "Georgia O’Keeffe: The Brightness of Light" - (encore; 1 hour, 58 minutes) - Free!- Back by popular demand! A feature documentary film exploring the life and art of the most important American woman artist of the 20th century. Known as the “Mother of American Modernism,” O’Keeffe exploded on the New York art scene in the 1920s with her paintings of flowers, bones, and the beauty of nature. Nude photographs of O’Keeffe taken by her lover, Alfred Stieglitz, shocked the public and contributed to the perception that her paintings were sexually charged. In the 1970s, O’Keeffe, famously isolated in the New Mexico desert, emerged as an iconic role model for second wave feminists. From Academy Award-winning director Paul Wagner, the film features music by Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, narration by Hugh Dancy, and Claire Danes as the Voice of Georgia O'Keeffe. Y Arts presents: "Dot & the Kangaroo JR." - Young, rambunctious Dot longs for an adventure exploring everything the country has to offer. When she finds herself lost and afraid in the darkening Australian bush, Dot befriends a wise mother Kangaroo who enlists the help of Australia’s favourite bush creatures to help Dot find her way back home. A charming tale full of quirky Aussie-native characters, "Dot & the Kangaroo JR." transforms the endearing story that transfixed generations past into a fresh, new adventure for generations to come. Performances at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22. Tickets: $10, all general admission.

"The Drama" - (R; 1 hour, 46 minutes) - A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. Flirting with complex themes, “The Drama” walks a tonal tightrope with impressive poise thanks to career-highlight performances by Robert Pattinson and Zendaya. Content Warning: While marketed as a dark romantic comedy, please be advised that this film contains mature themes and violent content that may be distressing to some viewers.
