Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 1 arrest
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 236 calls for service for the period of April 21 to April 28. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 3,953 calls for service.
Summonses
Robin Gerrard, 61, of Whitefield was issued two summonses April 21 for Allowing Dog to be at Large, on Devine Road, Whitefield, by Animal Control Officer Lindsay Smith.
Penny L. Bryer, 72, of Boothbay was issued a summons April 24 for Operating under the Influence, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton, after an investigation into a traffic accident which occurred on Feb. 9.
Tanner J. Peaslee, 19, of Westport Island was issued a summons April 24 for Driving to Endanger, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrest
Benjamin G. Bickford, 49, of Wiscasset was arrested April 26 for Operating under the Influence, on Route 27, Edgecomb, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Accidents
On April 21, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Whitefield involving Kaleb S. Bishop, 18, of Whitefield. Mr. Bishop was operating his 2017 GMC 2500 westbound when he stated he fell asleep and went off the roadway on the right, down an embankment and struck some trees, causing damage to the truck, trailer and the ATV on the trailer. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On April 23, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Keenan M. Clark, 18, of China. Mr. Clark was operating his 2016 Toyota Tacoma northbound when he stated he fell asleep. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the right, went airborne and struck a CMP pole on the passenger side. His vehicle then re-entered the roadway and went off the roadway on the left, coming to rest in a ditch. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On April 25, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Amanda M. Peaslee, 46, of Jefferson. Ms. Peaslee was operating her 2017 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when a deer ran out into the roadway in front of her and was struck, causing front driver’s side damage. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On April 26, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Benjamin G. Bickford, 49, of Wiscasset. Mr. Bickford was operating his 2021 Subaru Crosstrek northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and went off the roadway on the left, before striking a utility pole. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
