Christopher Giles
Christopher Giles, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 57.
Born on Sept. 20, 1968, to Ernest and Linda (Leeman) Giles in Boothbay, Maine, Christopher’s life was one marked by kindness, hard work, and a love for the simple joys of life.
Christopher earned his GED at Boothbay Region High School before briefly serving in the National Guard. He was deeply dedicated to his work, having spent many years at a sawmill in Livermore Falls, where he contributed not only as a sawmill operator but also through his skills in maintenance. Christopher's love for life extended beyond work. He had a profound passion for bird watching and an enduring fondness for classic films, often enjoying movie nights with his beloved mother. An avid Star Trek fan, he embraced the wonder of the universe, which echoed his own gentle and caring nature. His kindness shone brightly in his interactions with others, making him a treasured friend to many in his community.
Christopher is survived by his devoted mother, Linda Giles; his sister Claire Cole and her husband David of Strong, Maine, along with their son Nicholas; his sister Valarie Giles of Boothbay, and her children Kyle Wilson of Boothbay and Cameron Serino of Portland.
He was predeceased by his father, Ernest Giles Jr., his grandfather, Ernest Giles Sr., and his Aunt Beth Harsh.
