Firewall
Dear Editor:
On the first day voting was offered, I went to my town office and voted. I voted for Troy Jackson, our candidate for U.S. Senate, among the other Democratic candidates.
I feel strongly that Republicans do not deserve to be re-elected to our congress, being that the Trump administration is nothing short of a dumpster fire, spreading ash on all our lives. We need a serious firewall in our U.S. Senate.
It defies logic that the race between Collins and Jackson is even close. We need a Democrat controlled congress to get our country back from the dangerously narcissistic lunacy of Trump, and his sycophants. A vote for Collins is a vote for Trump.
Does she bring money into our state? Yes. Does that outweigh the damage she has done by voting the right way when it doesn’t matter, and the wrong way when it does matter? No.
Her fingerprints are all over our Medicare and hospital woes, our infrastructure troubles, our stupid, resource wasting wars, our fellow citizens being murdered by ICE thugs, our decline in women’s reproductive rights and services - with the doubling of ectopic pregnancy deaths of women! These are the outcomes of Trump’s initiatives which she feigned protest on, yet did nothing too little to stop.
Please join me in voting for Troy Jackson, who will prove to be that tough firewall we desperately need, and an excellent advocate for not only our state needs, but for the good of the nation as well.
