Due to enthusiastic community response and additional tuber availability, Veggies to Table has re-opened their dahlia tuber sale, for in person sales only, with a lineup of three dahlia pop-up events at the farm, offering last chance tubers for sale to local gardeners who want to grow stunning blooms in their own gardens this season while supporting Veggies to Table’s 100% grow-to-donate mission.

The dahlia pop-ups will take place on Friday, May 8, from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, and Friday, May 15, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Newcastle. Tubers are the perfect Mother's Day gift, or just a gift for your own garden!

Veggies to Table has also officially opened registration for its full season of farm tours, welcoming community members onto the farm to experience firsthand the beauty, purpose, and care behind the organization’s mission. The second of 10 tours this season will take place on Friday, May 26, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the farm in Newcastle. Additional tour dates are now open throughout the spring and summer.

Farm tour guests are invited to slow down and spend time on the land—walking the fields with the team, seeing what’s growing, and getting to know the people and purpose behind the work.

Veggies to Table grows top-quality organic produce and flowers, all of which are donated to individuals and families experiencing hunger, offering nourishment and joy. During these tours, visitors learn about the farm’s story, how the work has grown over time, and the many ways the community makes it all possible.

“We love welcoming people to the farm,” said Erica Berman, co-founder and executive director. “It’s a chance to share not just what we do, but why we do it—and to invite others into the heart of this work. Each farm tour brings a diverse group of people who learn how they can help make a difference in our community.”

In addition to regular farm tours, Veggies to Table will host a special Farm Tour “en français” on Saturday, June 27 in partnership with Alliance Française du Maine, welcoming local French speakers to connect, practice their language skills, and learn more about the farm’s mission.
