First responders were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of River Road and Route 27 in Boothbay around noon on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
A car and a pickup truck collided and Boothbay Fire Department was first on the scene. The driver's door had to be removed and the driver was attended to by Boothbay Region Ambulance Service employees. Also responding were Edgecomb Fire Department and a Lincoln County Sheriff Office deputy.
Southbound traffic was diverted on Route 27 to McKay Road in Edgecomb.
Boothbay Fire Department cleared the scene at 12:52 p.m.
