Dear Editor:

The Boothbay Region Garden Club hosted the Medomak District Annual Meeting on Monday, May 4th at the Bigelow Laboratories for Ocean Sciences’ new auditorium. The facility is so special and in our neighborhood. All our members enjoyed the auditorium and the whole facility.

Abby Jones, Valerie Young and Kim Knowlton were so easy to work with. Pinkham’s Gourmet Market supplied luncheon food, and everyone was over the moon with their lunch. Dunkin Donuts in Wiscasset supplied coffee and cups. Karen Iliades, who picked up the coffee said that the workers at Dunkin in Wiscasset were so happy and delightful to work with. After the meeting, members were able to tour the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Anna Hunt organized the tours.

I especially thank the Garden Club members for their help in planning and creating this annual meeting. Everyone needs to pat themselves on their backs.

Medomak District is made up of Bath Garden club, Boothbay Region Garden Club, Camden Garden Club, Friendship Garden Club, Topsham Garden Club, Waldoboro Garden Club, and the Garden Club of Wiscasset.
