Don’t Miss Jimmy Moreland – Live at Sail, Power, & Steam Museum May 16

Rockland – The ever-popular Jimmy Moreland performs in concert at the Sail, Power, & Steam Museum (SPSM) as part of the summer concert series on Saturday, May 16th at 5 p.m.

A midcoast resident, Moreland sings a combination of old-style country, Irish music, and original tunes. He’s been seen performing aboard sailing vessels and numerous local venues to appreciative, capacity crowds.

A regular performer during SPSM’s year ‘round Sunday music jams, a full evening on May 16th is dedicated to the audience hearing and enjoying this talented artist in concert as he brings his rich voice and unique style. Jimmy blends humor and sentiment in his songwriting, and during his performances, the audience’s toe-tappings punctuate his rhythms.

Jimmy grew up in Texas with the sounds of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and other outlaw heroes. His guitar went with him everywhere Uncle Sam sent him while he was in the service, from Japan to Afghanistan. You'll hear songs you know and love, performed with Moreland's unique interpretations they deserve.

His audience might not know that Moreland is a successful voice-over talent with multiple audiobook narrations to his credit. When he isn’t working on a voice talent production, he’s playing and recording music on various local stages, or banging nails on his 180-year-old home in midcoast Maine.

An enthusiastic supporter of the museum, all proceeds from the evening will be donated in support of museum programming.
