Abby Jones, Kim Pinkham win re-election to Boothbay boards
Boothbay voters re-elected one incumbent and defeated another during the May 4 town meeting referendum vote. Residents cast 526 ballots in Monday's election which saw Superintending School Committee member Abigail Jones defeat two challengers in securing another three-year term. Jones received a majority of votes with 271. Challenger Riley R. Mitchell received 109. Challenger Shani L. Bryer received 103.
Kim W. Pinkham won his bid to return to the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District as a trustee. He defeated incumbent Sara Fahnley, 268-175. Pinkham won a three-year term.
All other municipal races were uncontested. Selectman Chuck Cunningham received 354 votes and Selectman Julie Roberts received 367 votes. Both were re-elected to three-year terms. Paul Roberts received 410 votes in earning another three-year term as a Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD trustee. Kevin Anthony received 418 votes in winning another three-year term to the Boothbay Region Water District.
Boothbay residents also approved the entire 34-article town meeting warrant which included $2,884,527 in municipal spending. The budget reflects a 4.51% increase.
