This winter, ride the historic WW&F narrow gauge railway’s five-mile (round trip) 50-minute excursion departing from Sheepscot Station, 97 Cross Road, Alna. ride through the scenic, snow-covered forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Top of Mountain. For an optional true Maine adventure of backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, etc., you may choose to debark the train at Alna Center and enjoy a 90 minute layover for self-guided outdoor activities in the unspoiled backwoods of Alna. Passengers requiring extra assistance, including those in wheelchairs can be accommodated. Railroad cars are not heated. Dress accordingly.
