Shear Artistry Family Hair Salon welcomes Sarai Palmer
“Hello Boothbay, I am overjoyed to be working at Shear Artistry. I have been doing hair for two years professionally. Ever since I moved to the US from Jamaica, I have had no one to take care of my hair aside from braiding it. I never realized I had a passion for styling hair until the opportunity fell into my lap.”
She was surprised by how passionate she was about doing hair when the opportunity to go to Bath Vocational Tech just fell into her lap.
“Bath Vocational Tech was starting the first year of introducing their cosmetology course, I said to myself, ‘This is my chance to start my journey with what I was already doing with my family and friends. Now, so I can give back to the black community in this area.’”
She then continued her learning at Aveda Institute in Augusta, where she explored waxing, customer service, hairstyles, and chemical services that she plans to continue. Her skills were awarded three prestigious awards at Aveda: Creative Design, 1st Place Most Guest Serviced, and Customer Service. With a strong foundation and a passion for creating beautiful, personalized looks, she’s excited to bring her talents to Boothbay.
“After four years in styling hair, I love what I do and can't wait to see where it takes me and how many people I get to meet.”
Shear Artistry proudly welcomes Sarai Palmer, a talented cosmetologist specializing in braiding, textured styling and men’s haircuts and coloring.
