Coach Mark Gorey has built a very successful boys tennis program and, for the fourth straight season, the Boothbay Region Seahawks are the Mountain Valley Conference champions. The Seahawks defeated the Monmouth/Winthrop/Maranacook team, 5-0, on Tuesday, May 26 at Maranacook.

Now 12-1, Boothbay will take on other Class C South foes in the Maine Principals’ Association tournament. Their first opponent will be announced. Boothbay is the top-seed in the division and it may come down to the Seahawks facing their perennial tournament foe, the Waynflete Flyers, for the division title. Waynflete, ranked second in the division, has won several Class C championships in the past and is always a challenge for the Seahawks.
