‘Sea Glass Workshops’ for children and adults
Smuggler’s Cove Inn is delighted to host two sea glass workshops for children and adults by Ocean Point artist, Kim Kruger. The workshops will be held at the Inn on Wednesday, July 17 and Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. Workshops are limited to 16. Fees are $45 for children and $70 for adults. All supplies are included and various types of frames are available.
Kim Kruger has been a summer resident of Ocean Point for over 25 years. As a young girl, Kim spent her summers beachcombing and collecting sea glass on local beaches. Ten years ago, she combined her love of art and glass into an art form. Kim now teaches workshops for both children and adults and helps her students visualize art through nature. She has a vast collection of glass and a love of the Maine Coast and utilizes windows and frames to create her beach glass pictures.
Students will create beautiful one-of-a-kind landscapes with sea glass, driftwood, and stone on a picture frame to capture their favorite Maine summer memories.
Sign-up sheets and artist samples are available at Smuggler’s Cove Inn front desk, 727 Ocean Point Road E. Boothbay; or call 207-633-2800 to reserve a space.
