Rev. Brandon C. Ashcraft to open All Saints services June 21 and 28
All Saints by-the-Sea Episcopal summer chapel is pleased to announce that our opening services, on June 21 and June 28, will be led by The Rev. Brandon Ashcraft from Trinity Church in Boston, Massachusettes. Please join us at 8 and 10 a.m. as we celebrate Holy Communion and rejoice in the beauty of the new season on Southport Island. A time for refreshments and fellowship will be provided after each 10 a.m. service on the chapel grounds. Rev. Ashcraft will also lead a discussion of the week’s scriptures on the chapel porch on Tuesdays June 23 and 30 from 9 to 10 a.m. Organist Henry Lowe will enhance our worship with his tremendous musical talent at all Sunday services. Worshippers of all faiths are invited to join both gatherings.
Rev. Ashcraft serves as the Priest for Community Outreach at Trinity Church, a historic parish on Copley Square in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. In this role, Brandon empowers the people of Trinity to proclaim the Good News of God in Christ by promoting justice, peace, and love in ministries of service. He also helps to oversee Trinity’s ministry of welcome and hospitality to new members. After attending Yale Divinity School, Brandon served as a hospital chaplain in Minneapolis, MN and served parishes in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Austin, Texas. Prior to attending seminary, he was a Wall Street corporate communications specialist in New York City.
All Saints by-the-Sea is located on Southport Island about two miles south on Route 238 on All Saints Road to the left. An Episcopal Church sign marks the side of the road. Parking is available along Route 238 with a limited number of handicapped spaces at the chapel parking lot on All Saints Road. A golf cart will ferry persons from the handicapped spaces to the church steps. On Sundays, the chapel’s dock is reserved for parishioners and guests arriving to services by boat. The historic, wooden chapel is open during the week for private prayer and meditation.
