Emma Duncan, 7, of Old Orchard Beach, found the second golden egg. Here she is, on the scene, with younger sister, Callie. Lori Bailey photo Volunteer organizers said Saturday's Eggstravaganza at Boothbay Fire Station drew the largest crowd to date. It was a bright day and temperatures were mild: Perfect weather for children, some dressed as rabbits, to be outdoors on an Easter egg hunt.
This year's golden egg finders were 2-year-old Cillian Murphy of Edgecomb and 7-year-old Emma Duncan of Old Orchard Beach. Each won a bag of chocolate and toy-filled delights.
Five thousand eggs were filled with holiday treats for the children by volunteers at Bay Landing and the station's Auxiliary volunteers.
Gavin Martin Foundation sponsored the event.
