News and notes from the Community Center
Please help if you can:
Our community is rallying to support volunteer Wilma Tatlock following a devastating fire that displaced her from her home and destroyed many of her personal possessions. The Community Center has offered to act as a collection point for direct community support for Wilma. Please bring your contributions to the Community Center during our open hours in the form of a check made out directly to Wilma or cash in a sealed envelope addressed to her. Please note these are not contributions to the Community Center and are not tax deductible. Thanks in advance for your support!
We have two free printers looking for a good home! The smaller one is an HP color printer in good condition. The larger one is a Lexmark which only prints in black and white. It needs a new drum which costs around $80. It’s great for a small business.
Stop in and check out our learning online wish list. You can add any classes you would like to learn online. Classes will be at the Center and we will broadcast instruction into the classroom. Call 633-9876 for more information.
Have you seen our new website? It's full of information about us, our programs, events and schedules. Many, many thanks to our tech experts Dan Downing and Patrice Connelly for making the wonderful new version! Great work!
On Fridays, some of our guests participate in a discussion group from 10 to 11:30 a.m. While the group tends to be predominantly men, ladies are welcome to join in. Meeting dates and the topics are random, depending on attendance. Call that morning to see if a group is meeting.
