News and notes from the Community Center
The Community Center is joining the effort to help our neighbors during the current food insecurity crisis.
Please join us for a free Souper Lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 12. We will be offering soups, breads and desserts made by our volunteers. Everyone is invited and welcome. The lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. and continues until our supplies are gone.
There is a wagon available for donations of canned goods and other non-perishable items. If you are going to be at the mall, please stop by and help us fill the wagon. Donated items will be delivered to the Community Fridge by our volunteers.
It's not just about food! We are collecting clean, warm winter coats of all sizes as well as warm hats, scarves and gloves which will be delivered to the Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church for their clothing closet to help keep our neighbors warm this winter.
Be sure to check our Facebook page and News and Notes in the Register for additional events and opportunities to help.
