Motorcycle vs. motor vehicle crash with injuries in Boothbay Harbor
On Wednesday, July 15, at about 7:08 p.m., Boothbay Harbor Police officers were dispatched to the area of 233 Townsend Ave., near the Irving gas station, for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle, with injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Kyle Taylor, 43, was operating a motorcycle northbound on Townsend Avenue when the motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of a vehicle that was turning into the Irving gas station.
Taylor sustained serious injuries and was transported to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus before being flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center for further treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by Boothbay Harbor Police Department.

No one was hurt in the car. Richard Stevenson (84) was the operator, and Bonnie Stevenson (85) was the passenger.
A second accident involved Hunter Taylor (18), operating a Nissan Titan with two passengers, Amanda Spicer (40) and a juvenile who was passing on the left, and struck a Ford Edge operated by Paul Mavris (66) with a passenger, Daniel Beale (67), that was attempting to turn around at the Hammond Lumber entrance. There were no injuries in this accident, and it is still under investigation.
