The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 248 calls for service for the period of Sept. 22 to Sept. 29. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 10,241 calls for service.

Summonses

Elijah J. Simon, 20, of Pittston was issued a summons Sept. 22 for Driving to Endanger, on Gardiner Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

Ty D. Christiansen, 34, of Bremen was issued summonses Sept. 22 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – OUI and Violating Condition of Release, on Town Landing Road, Bristol, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.

Joshua H. Oliver, 46, of South Bristol was issued a summons Sept. 23 for Harvesting for Shellfish without a License, on Waldoboro Road, Bremen, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.

Arrests

Daniel R. Katusich, 39, of Waldoboro was arrested Sept. 25 for Violation of a Protection Order, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Justin Drake.

Daniel J. Savage, 30, of East Waterboro was arrested Sept. 26 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Compass Rose Way, South Bristol, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

Teresa Simpson, 53, of Dresden was arrested Sept. 26 for Violating Condition of Release, on Calls Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Zachary Smith.

Lars C. Knakkergaard, 58, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts was arrested Sept. 27 for Operating under the Influence, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.  Mr. Knakkergaard was arrested after a motor vehicle accident, in which he traveled across Route 1, from Route 27 (Gardiner Road), went through the intersection and crashed into the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office building. The crash caused damage to the building and the vehicle.

Accidents

On Sept. 24, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Gretchen Lauriat, 49, of Boothbay Harbor. Ms. Lauriat was operating her 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound when a deer ran out in front of her and was struck with the front passenger side corner. The deer ran off and the vehicle was able to be driven. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 25, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Steven C. Lewis, 56, of Boothbay. Mr. Lewis was operating his 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when he struck a deer in the roadway. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 25, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Cynthia Roloff, 54, of Thomaston and Susan G. Falkoff, 78, of Watertown, Massachusetts. Ms. Falkoff was operating her 2016 Toyota Prius southbound behind Ms. Roloff’s 2023 Subaru Outback when she stated she attempted to brake, however, her vehicle did not slow down. As a result, she swerved to avoid Roloff’s vehicle before she struck the rear passenger’s side of it. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Sept. 27, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Kassandra A. Tripp, 44, of Somerville. Ms. Tripp was operating her 2016 Jeep Compass westbound when she advised her rear left tire (spare) seized up, causing her to go off the roadway on the right and strike a CMP pole. No evidence of tire problems was observed. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
