Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 3 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 265 calls for service for the period of Jan. 27 to Feb. 3. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,225 calls for service.
Summonses
Mork (full name), 67, of Richmond was issued a summons Jan. 29 for Criminal Mischief, after an investigation into a damaged business sign, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, on Dec. 3, 2025 by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
Nathaniel R. Olson, 26, of Damariscotta was issued a summons Feb. 2 for Passing a Stopped School Bus, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Mark Fortin.
Arrests
Caleb N. Fitzgerald, 34, of Alna was arrested Jan. 31 for Violating Conditions of Release and Domestic Violence Assault, on Colpit Road, Alna, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Gabrielle J. Tibbetts, 21, of Windsor was arrested Jan. 31 for Criminal Operating under the Influence and Driving to Endanger, on Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Jonathan P. Sawyer, 56, of Warren was arrested Feb. 3 on a Knox County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Schedule Drug and Violating Conditions of Release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Accidents
On Jan. 28, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Joshua W. Child, 47, of Bristol and Annette B. Farrin, 58, of South Bristol. Ms. Farrin’s 2024 Chevrolet Equinox was parked legally in the parking lot of 74 Main Street and Mr. Child attempted to park his 2009 Toyota Tacoma next to her vehicle. In doing so, Child struck Farrin’s vehicle. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 29, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving John A. Koehling, 51, of Brunswick. Mr. Koehling was operating his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he observed a pickup truck traveling northbound on River Road. As the vehicle continued past him, he stated that the other truck’s mirror struck his mirror before it continued traveling northbound and did not stop. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 29, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Kenneth L. Orne, 60, of Boothbay and Karen S. Thayer, 58, of Wiscasset. Ms. Thayer was operating her 2025 Nissan Versa southbound when she entered the northbound lane and struck Mr. Orne’s 2024 Ford F-150, which was traveling northbound. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 29, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Heather H. Nelson, 35, of Edgecomb and Josani J. Farmer, 19, of Edgecomb. Ms. Nelson’s 2005 Chevrolet Malibu was parked legally and Mr. Farmer was turning left into the parking lot in his 2003 Cadillac Seville, when he slid into Nelson’s vehicle, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 29, an accident occurred on Valley Road in Jefferson involving Patrick W. Brady, 47, of Somerville. Mr. Brady was operating his 2020 Chrysler Pacifica northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right and was struck, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 31, an accident occurred on Atlantic Highway in Waldoboro involving Linda J. Eastman, 78, of Waldoboro and Gabriel C. Cooley, 28, of Waldoboro. Ms. Eastman was operating her 2022 Toyota Highlander northbound when she failed to yield to Mr. Cooley, who was operating a 2019 Ford ambulance, which was running its lights and sirens and entering Route 1, in the northbound lane, causing the ambulance to strike Eastman’s vehicle. Deputy Nathan Yeaton was the investigating officer.
