Health Center: Andy Zuber's departure
This week, we bid a sad good-bye to Physician’s Assistant, Andy Zuber. He gave us two wonderful years of service to our community. But now he has found his dream job on North Haven Island. The good news is that Andy’s departure gives us the opportunity to recruit a second Physician—something many of you have been asking for. We’ll keep you posted. If you know of a Family Physician who is looking for an opportunity to practice medicine like an old-fashioned country doctor, who gets to spend quality time with patients and to make house calls, have them contact us! (Email Info@bbrhc.org or call Patty Seybold at (207) 633-4368).
We have time to see you
The other good news is that this is our slowest time of year. Both Dr. Teel and Family Nurse Practitioner, Susan Lord have lots of open time on their schedules. And Family Nurse Practitioner, Whitney Tranchemontagne is also not fully booked. So give us a call – (207) 633-1075 — to book an appointment now!
We’re (almost) halfway there
Our fundraising goal in our HeartFelt HealthCare Campaign for March 31st is $75,000. Let us know you care by investing in local, convenient, quality health care.
Thanks so much to those of you who have already responded to our current campaign! Rest assured that your notes and good wishes mean as much to our staff as do your heartfelt donations.
You can send a check to Boothbay Region Health Center, 185 Townsend Ave., Suite R, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538. Or call (207 633-1075) with your credit card donation (one-time or set up monthly donations) during office hours. Or donate online at Boothbayhealthcare.org.
Learn how to reduce stress
When you’re stressed, anxious, frustrated, or angry, it can lead to disease. Would you like to learn how to avoid stress? No matter what’s going on in your life, you can bounce back quickly. It’s called resilience. It turns out that humans are superbly designed to weather stress—notice how quickly a baby or a young child who is upset can be distracted. Join us on Monday, March 14 at 4 p.m. for an interactive learning session on Zoom on “How to Reduce Stress.” You’ll be glad you did. You'll find the Zoom link on the home page of our website: boothbayregionhealthcare.org.
