Carlo M. Pilgrim
Carlo Mario Pilgrim, 79, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026.
Born in Naples, Italy, Carlo was the son of Charles and Maria Pilgrim, both of whom predeceased him. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy. While enlisted in Hawaii, he met the love of his life, Cathy. He later went on to serve as the town manager in both Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor and ran a small restaurant business in the downtown area.
Carlo is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cathy; his son, Carlo Pilgrim of New York; and his brother, Arthur Pilgrim of Vermont.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, Dr. Robert Hunold, Dr. Allan Teel, the staff at the VA, Gregory Wing, and Miles Hospital, and finally to Mitch Hamilton, Tom Wilson, and all those who spent time with him in the final days of his life.
A memorial service for Carlo will be held on Friday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at the Boothbay Baptist Church, 999 Wiscasset Road, in Boothbay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Maine Cancer Foundation.
