Accidents
On March 24, an accident occurred on Old County Road in Bristol involving Danny J. Fletcher, 62, of Pemaquid and Kyle J. Brooks, 23, of Skowhegan. Mr. Fletcher was operating his 2018 Ford F-150 northbound and Mr. Brooks was operating his 2025 Isuzu NRP-XD truck southbound on Old County Road. The road is narrow for both vehicles to pass without one of them going off the paved roadway to avoid a collision, since both vehicles have extended mirrors. Brooks stated he believed Fletcher was speeding when Fletcher’s driver’s side trailer mirror struck Brooks’ driver’s side mirror, and then Fletcher’s mirror scraped the side of Brooks’ vehicle. Fletcher stated he believed he was far enough over to not strike Brooks’ vehicle. There was also a dent in the driver’s side door of Brooks’ vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On March 27, an accident occurred on East Neck Road in Nobleboro involving Christopher M. Schueler, 29, of Nobleboro. Mr. Schueler was operating his 2019 Ford F-150 northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
