Harbor Theater free members event
Harbor Theater’s 170 seat auditorium is sure to be filled to bursting for at least two shows each year – the biannual member free events! The 2026 Members Free first presentation happens on Sunday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m.
If you are a Harbor Theater member, we invite you to join us when National Geographic photographer and filmmaker, Boothbay Harbor resident Bob Krist. He will present his newest film “Maine U.S. 1, 1926 – 2026, A Centennial Road Trip.” The film was originally broadcast on Maine PBS in March.
Bob will introduce the film and stay around for an informal Q&A afterward. The Maine Public Film Series advertised the 1 hour,14 minute film as Krist “going on a road trip along the entire length of Route One in Maine from the south to the north . . . looking for those stubborn and authentic people, places, and traditions that make Route One more of a vital artery than just a line on a map.” Even if you saw the film on Maine PBS, you’ll want to experience it on the big screen with the filmmaker at hand!
And, as if Bob and his latest film weren’t enough, Harbor Theater celebrates its members with a pre-show wine reception with charcuterie platters provided by Pinkham’s Gourmet Market. Doors open at 5 p.m. with reception at 5:30, and film at 6. You don’t want to be late and miss getting a seat for this special evening of Maine film storytelling!
Free admission for all Harbor Theater Members. If you are not yet a member, or have let your membership lapse, you can join or renew at https://boothbaycinema.org/membership/.
There may be limited seats available for non-members, but not until all members have been seated. Non-member tickets, if available, will be $20.
The Harbor Theater is located at 185 Townsend Ave. in the Meadow Mall.
